
Nerikomi with Coloured Clay
Nerikomi pottery is a traditional hand-building technique that uses stacked, sliced, and patterned colored clays to build geometric or marbled ceramic designs. The pattern runs all the way through the clay body rather than just sitting on the surface.
Participants can make jewellery, a marbled colorful animal sculpture or even your very own coffee cup in the workshop.
What you will be taught?
1. How to mix your own colored clay.
2. Basics of hand-building techniques.
3. How to plan/design your work.
4. How to have fun!
What is included:
1. 500 gm white stoneware clay.
2. Two mason stains( depending on availbility in studio) will be provided.
3. Apron and pottery tools will be provided for the duration of course.
4. Firing charges are inclusive in fee. All the things you make will be glazed and fired and given to you in a months time.
Duration: 2 Sessions (12 hours each with a lunch break)
Timings: 10am - 4:00pm.
Fees: 6000/- (GST exclusive)
Who can come?
Anyone above the age of 15 can come, regardless of how much or how little they know of pottery.
Terms and Condition
1. Sessions need to be booked in advance and implicit confirmation is applicable only after full payment.
2. All the rescheduling request of booking is subjected to studio decision. The studio has sole right to decline same.
3. Cancellation on bookings are non refundable.
4. Participants with any health issues that we should be aware about (allergies, injury, psychological health etc. ) need to council with studio before registration. Studio has sole right to decline/ cancel their enrollment on similar or related grounds with no or partial refund. Please refer refund policy of the studio.
